The Playhouse is home to many visionaries, including members of the Morse Johnson Society. Named after Morse Johnson, the first president and chairman of the Playhouse Board of Trustees, The Morse Johnson Society honors those who have included the Playhouse in their estate plans. Through their long-term commitment, Morse Johnson Society members secure our role as a vital cultural institution shaping the artistic landscape of Cincinnati for generations to come.
Members enjoy opportunities for exclusive Playhouse engagement and recognition including:
- An annual dinner that offers an insider’s look at the Playhouse.
- Invitations to attend special events reserved for Playhouse donors.
- Recognition in various outlets (electronic signage, Playbills, annual report and website).
For more information on the Morse Johnson Society contact Lynn Smith, CFRE, Major Gifts Officer, at (513) 977-2067 or lynn.smith@cincyplay.org.

Planned Giving Fuels the Playhouse Mission
Planned gifts play a critical role in sustaining our mission to be Cincinnati’s national theatre – committed to bringing diverse, engaging works of great artistry to our community and to putting Cincinnati’s artistic excellence in the national spotlight.
We made a Planned Gift to the Playhouse to support great theatre because it is important to us that we come together as a community to share in the joys and challenges of what it means to be human. The Playhouse does a remarkable job of entertaining us, but as importantly, brings to light difficult subjects and provides a forum for diverse discussions and open dialogue.
